WestJet: Where Your Love Story Takes Off
They say finding true love is hard, but at WestJet, we know firsthand just how often our guests—and our WestJetters—find love in the most unique places.
One of our WestJetters has a travel love story fit for the silver screen: Byron and his wife, avid traveler Michèle, met in 1997 at a hostel in Paris. They built a connection, friendship, relationship, and eventually, a marriage through their shared love of travel.
“He was funny and charming,” said Michèle. “I wrote in my travel diary—this is the kind of guy I think I could marry.”

Big Game. Big Surprise.
To celebrate the Western Final in Winnipeg, we surprised hundreds of fans arriving into YWG on WestJet flights. Awaiting them right on the baggage carousel was the Grey Cup, which we, in partnership with the CFL, brought in specially for this weekend. Fans got to see the Cup up close, meet the Keeper of the Cup, Jeff McWhinney, and a lucky few got tickets to see the Winnipeg Blue Bombers take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders the next day in the Western Final.
Another Rewards home run

Love at first flight
On a short flight from Vancouver to Kelowna in 2007, WestJet guests Amanda and Dustin went from seat mates to soulmates. Fast-forward 17 years, the happy couple set the date for a celebration our WestJetters wouldn’t miss for the world.
Chris, Inflight Crew Member, and Lisa, Customer Service Agent, arrived at Amanda and Dustin’s WestJet-inspired wedding to surprise them with a “safety announcement” speech and two round-trip tickets to any destination WestJet flies.
“Chris connected with the Marketing team, who then reached out to me to plan the surprise of a lifetime for Amanda and Dustin,” said Christie, Maid of Honour, on the special day.
