Summer Bay, fly and flop!!

First visit to Barbados and had been recommended Sugar Bay by some friends and family. It has not disappointed in any way. The staff make this hotel, to a man and woman they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and with good humour... The food at the hotel, buffet style is excellent, no repetition and freshly cooked, really impressive choice and service breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are two a la carte restaurants to choose from, Umi, an Asian and Sizzles, a steakhouse are both an excellent experience and quality food/service.... book through reception. The snack bar serves good quality burgers, hot dogs, bajan chicken, pasta, rice.... convenient if you just want to chill on the bay. We broke our 10 days up with an island tour, a boat trip and a night out at the fish market at Oistins, other than that we just chilled. Only downside was the seaweed; the staff did their absolute best to deal with it but the whole island suffered; we got unlucky but went to Carlisle Bay, Pebbles beach and Rockley bay (all in walking distance) to get our fix of Carrie an blue sea and sandy beach. 100% recommend and thanks to all the staff for making it such a relaxing trip.... Fly and flop at its best x
A nice chilled out place to visit.

The hotel was clean and the food was very good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed at the beach which was a shame but the next couple of beaches along were clear. Obviously this wasn't the hotels fault. It was hard to get a bed by the pool area unless you were up very early, people were reserving their beds with towels and the hotel staff did not move them despite there being a sign up. Generally a nice hotel but it seemed expensive compared to others we have visited before and they had better amenities.
