Mostly good. Noting always be clear in reservations and ask for confirmation. Lived our all inclusive resort!

The room is lovely. The buffet breakfast and lunch at the restaurant down stairs..Lighthouse? Good too. Today we (2 of us) got massages. Good massage but take care that you and the spa know exactly what "Special" you are reserving. Ours got mixed up...reserved massage the night before $129. Then during the massage I heard some liquids being poured. I asked what that was...they were prepping for facials. We had not reserved for facials. It would have cost more but then they went back to the $129 plus I asked for firm massage. They said ok but it's $20 more. I'm okay with that. But there was some speculation they were doing a bait and switch. Nothing for certain. Always be clear and get confirmations. We were here four nights for a family wedding on the 3rd night happening at Esperanza. It was a beautiful wedding. Esperanza is beautiful and we had a beautiful stay at Tesoro as well. Barbara Judd

Hotel in Desperate Need of Maintenance and Repairs

The review says, consider the things I liked. Well, it's sort of difficult when so much went wrong. While most of the staff tried hard, many had language problems. I am an American, with limited knowledge of the Spanish language. I arrived, having asked for a room near my friends and early check in. My room was not ready. After traveling 12 hours, I was sitting in the lobby for over an hour. When I went to my room, I found that it was in a remote part of the hotel with an additional flight of stairs I'd have to climb. I had no bellman with me, and my carryon bag was not light. I returned to the front desk and complained, and I was brushed off. This did not sit well with me, and I sat down with the concierge who said what do you plan to do, once they knew I planned to check out, they quickly got me a room as requested. This too did not go without incident, as the bellman said I never gave them my luggage. Imagine their surprise when I produced the claim ticket. I go to my room with my bags. Another problem presented itself. My patio door to a beautiful terrace and adjoining sundeck did not lock! At this point I was out of patience. I called the front desk and they sent someone who told me it would be repaired that evening. I went out to dinner and a social hour for my conference, and upon my return it was not repaired. I was then told I had to change my room---AGAIN. I called the bellman and had him pick up all my belonging and move them to a room next door with similar amenities. I was at this venue for a conference and had hoped to mix a bit a relaxation with business, but the above scenario made it nearly impossible. The CONS: Poor maintenance. This hotel is an older property, and has not been properly maintained. Language barrier. There are NOT multiple restaurants. Only two. Again, it made no difference to me as I was there for a conference. But, I don't recommend their all inclusive for two restaurants. The POSITIVES: Friendly staff. With the exception of the front desk who dropped the ball in a number of ways, and number of instances the staff, maids, waiters, bellmen all were pleasant. Lovely spa---albeit, small and limited. Good food at the existing facilities. Beautiful view from my room. Great mattresses. I slept well. In the middle of town close to everything. Unfortunately this is no enough to raise my experience from one star. Especially given the runaround and necessity for me to change rooms twice.

Clean and Spacious, but dated with some policy concerns

I recently stayed at Tesoro Los Cabos for a conference. While the hotel was impeccably clean and the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, the overall ambiance felt quite dated for my preferences. The room was notably large and spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. However, I found the pool area lacking in appeal; it didn't feel inviting or comfortable. Additionally, the hotel's towel policy was concerning. Guests are provided with a key card that allows for only one towel per card. I witnessed a child shivering because his family had only one towel, which was unsettling, especially considering the cooler temperatures in Cabo during my visit. While I wouldn't have chosen this hotel outside of the conference setting, the experience was better than anticipated. The cleanliness and staff hospitality stood out positively, but the dated facilities and certain policies detracted from the overall experience.

Great Lighthouse Customer Service

I enjoyed the entire Tesoro resort, and the employees are great! But I have to call out Israel at the Lighthouse Restaurant. He was a great server, always engaging in conversation. He remembered what I liked in food or drink and said hello in any area of the resort. He’s definitely a keeper!

All around amazing views. Great service at the all of restaurants and bars here. Loved our pool day. Very accessible and accommodating for all! The hotel was so easy to navigate and walkable to anything and everything you can imagine. Friendly staff, especially from Israel Leggs at the Lighthouse! 10/10!
