Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

My stay

When I checked in the front desk lady with glasses and curly hair literally told me that the destination fees is like my security deposit and I ll get back at the end of my stay but I didn’t. And there was poop stain in washroom seat when I checked in.
Great Central New York Location

This is my second time staying at the Hyatt Grand Central New York. We chose to stay here again because we appreciated the convenience of the location. You’re able to walk to Bryant Park, Times Square etc., but are also steps away from the subway. You get $15 a day to spend in the market (it was $20 last year) which seems like a small perk, however, the cost of the items available is extravagant. A bottle of water is about $6 USD. You can walk to the CVS down the street and get them for less than $1 each - which I highly recommend. Be aware that it costs $4 USD per item to store your luggage the day of checkout. This is not a free courtesy as many hotels offer. It is only free upon check-in. This definitely comes off as a money grab and was not appreciated. This round I requested an early check-in since we had an early flight in and that was granted which was appreciated. Our room was available by 11 AM and we were able to get in right when we arrived at the hotel. I noted that we didn’t need daily room service, but it still happened. We did appreciate the body towels being replaced but we noticed our hand and face towels were removed after use and never replaced again. We found this quite odd.
