My husband and I just returned home yesterday after a wonderful week at Majestic Colonial, staying on the adults-only side — and it did not disappoint! ??? Accommodations While I agree with many that the resort could use a bit of TLC (which I understand is planned for this fall), it wasn’t nearly as bad as I had imagined based on some comments. We were pleasantly surprised — it was clean, comfortable, and much better than expected. Cleanliness is our top priority, and in that regard, it absolutely delivered. Entertainment We caught all of the nightly shows and truly enjoyed them! The standouts for us were: • The Ideal Couple – so much fun and lots of laughs • The Circus Show – the acrobatics were amazing • The Michael Jackson Tribute – spot on impersonation! Food We were very happy with the food overall and had no complaints. • Ma+Suri was our absolute favorite — so much so that we went back a second night! • Rodeo Grill served up a delicious steak dinner. • Le Gourmet was available to us for breakfast (thanks to the Club level) and it was fantastic. • Although we had dinner reservations for Le Gourmet, we ended up cancelling to try Taino (Mexican) instead — and it did not disappoint either. • The rest of our meals were split between Supreme (the main buffet) and La Hispaniola (beachfront buffet) — both had plenty of variety and tasty options. Service Absolutely outstanding! Not a single complaint. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. A special shout-out to our amazing butler, Javier Mendoza. He was a pleasure to deal with — always smiling, checking in daily via the app, and even stopping by the pool to chat with us (he also looked after the couple we traveled with, so he always knew where to find us). We had great conversations with him and will definitely be requesting him again when we return. Check-in / Check-out Check-in on the Club side took a little longer than I expected, but it was a busy time, so that’s completely understandable. That said, the waiting area was air-conditioned with comfortable seating, plus there were cold drinks and snacks available — so the wait really wasn’t bad at all. Check-out, on the other hand, was an absolute breeze — done and dusted in minutes! A Note on Transportation The only thing we’ll change next time is arranging a private transfer with Go Majestic. The shared bus ride to the resort felt long due to heavy traffic and being the fourth stop. In hindsight, we could’ve used Go Majestic for only $40 USD ($20 per couple) and saved time. The return trip to the airport was better — we were picked up first, stopped at Elegance and Mirage, and then headed straight to the airport. Traffic was light (likely due to it being Good Friday). Final Thoughts Long story short — we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Majestic Colonial and are already looking forward to going back… this time for 10 days, because 7 just wasn’t long enough! ????

I am sad to be leaving this paradise. There were a few cons, but all the pros outweigh them tenfold! First, the property is gorgeous. The restaurants, lobby, grounds, beach, and layout are excellent. Very manageable distance between places. I felt comfortable allowing my 12 year old to run up to the room or to the bar alone. Our room, and the hallway's woodwork, paint, and tile work are definitely worn and showing their age. Our AC was broken the first night which was miserable, but they repaired it the next morning, and from then on the room was cold. We checked in around 7pm and it took until 11pm to get a cot and towels for our room, which was frustrating. By the next morning, once our AC was fixed, we quickly got over our negative first impressions and started to appreciate the beauty of this place! Everything is clean. The staff are so friendly. The food is better than I expected. Plenty of American options at the buffets, along with local fare. The sit down dinner at Habacci and the Steakhouse were excellent. Buffet desserts were unappealing to me. (Lots of moist cakes/pudding type desserts.) The evening shows were fun! Circus and Michael Jackson were the best. The White Party was like a street dance with a DJ on stage. I loved how all the families and little kids even danced. The Carribean Street shops are nice to explore. English is a struggle for some employees but with patience you will be able to communicate or they will find someone who is more fluent to help. We speak a little Spanish and used it whenever we could and the staff appreciated it. They indulged my 12 year old with simple conversation and complimented him on his abilities, which really got him into the spirit of vacationing in the DR! We were given a late checkout until 2pm and are allowed to stay as long as needed and eat/swim before our flight. GoMajestic airport transport was seamless- book it by emailing the hotel.

I was very impressed with all the amenities the Majestic Colonial had to offer. We booked the Colonial Club adults only section and would recommend it to anyone travelling without kids. Guests were given and separate check in room thay offered food and drinks while the room assignment took place. It was a longer process but worked out just fine. You also get access to a private lounge that has concierge available for any issues as well as a variety of food at a smaller buffet and games available if you want some relax time. All guests staying in this section are assigned a butler, Willnier was ours and was great!! You download a separate app that links you to all the hotel has to offer. There is a chat functionality that allows you to contact your butler at any time. He checked on you, made restaurant reservations, and overall made you feel welcome. Food was excellent. 4 Ala Carte restaurants were available, reservations were required at two of them, the Japanese and the Gourmet. These restaurants were booked up 2 to 3 days in advance so reserve when you arrive. The Steak House and Seafood were walk up, we had no issues getting in. I would suggest to get there when it first opens.. Buffets had a lot of variety. We were not disappointed at any of the restaurants, although not all perfect but really no issues at all. There were no additional upsells on food at any of the restaurants including lobster at the seafood restaurant. The Gourmet was a great experience, probably our favorite. Special shout out to Elfidio, Lorenny, Martina, Mota and Julio Junior. So attentive to the entire meal. Activities were plentiful throughout the entire property with day to day itineraries posted and available on the APP. The entertainment crew was very engaging, Hats off to Cristina, Nelly and Black Diamond. Beach is beautiful, had to days where there was seaweed but nothing like you see on the east coast of Mexico. The one unfortunate part was getting chairs. Like so many other resorts, people throw towels and other things the night before to reserve their spot. Even by 7am, there was slim pickings. I would love a policy that after a certain amount of time, things would be removed. I would recommend the Majestic property to anyone, the service, food, resort feel, and property made for a great vacation.

We had the friendliest and very thorough housekeeper during our seven day stay Francesca greeted up everyday with a huge smile and a cando attitude always asking if there was anything she could do to make our day great. She is a true credit to Majestic Colonial and an ambassador.

Beautiful place. Edwin, our butler was phenomenal. Beach buffet was excellent. One Evening for dinner, we had Lobster. Unfortunately, it was over cooked and over seasoned. Couldn t eat it. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A variety of entertainment throughout the week. I would definitely recommend the spa. It was as amazing.
