Travel Bank credits from changed or cancelled flights can be used to pay for flights up to 12 months from the date your flight was cancelled. Sign in to your WestJet account to check your credit expiry date. Regular Travel Bank credit can be extended for 12 months one time only for a fee of $50-$59 per extension. The fee must be paid with a credit card at the time of extension. Please phone our contact centre to request an extension. This does not apply to an already extended credit. Expired credits cannot be extended.
Exemption: Travel bank credits issued from purchasing and flying in a Premium cabin on an "Economy-seats-only" aircraft before May 15, 2025, are valid for one year from the date of issue, and while the travel date can be after the credit’s expiry, the credit itself cannot be extended.
